Summary of expenses covered

• Driving to Event: $.72 per km (rate includes fuel and time)
• Flying to Event: flight (max $300 one way, or contact us), plus $30 hour/time inside uber/taxi and airplane (if greater than 30 minutes).
• Parking: airport, hotel, venue
• Hotel: SMU will book for out of town tutors only
• Meals: During travel and event days, when not provided

Level 1 & 2 Camps

Day 1 8:00am - 5:00pm

Day 2 8:30am - 6:00pm

Day 3 8:00am - 6:00pm

Level 3 Camps

Day 1 8:00am - 5:00pm

Day 2 8:30am - 6:00pm

Important: On Day 1, all tutors MUST ARRIVE at event space by 8am. We rely on all tutors to help complete setup prior to students arriving at 8:30. $100/10 minutes will be deducted from compensation for late arrivals.

• Coach 2 tables at a time
• Please ensure you don’t spend too much time at one table before moving to the next, and be aware of tables in need of assistance
• Help with setup/tear down as needed (maximum 8am-6pm) 

• SMU shirt, or contact Zoe if you need one
• Scrubs - Toronto and Montreal - otherwise provided
• Light clothes, we keep the rooms warm
• Loose t-shirt/shorts, in case we need to scan you

As our courses are CME accredited, you must not discuss brand names or recommend machines during course hours. Tell students to ask their questions during lunch or at the beginning/end of day. Please do not speak negatively about any of the machines at Camp; ultrasound companies have loaned us this equipment, please be respectful.   

Sometimes selling all available tickets for courses is challenging. Conversely, sometimes those who have purchased tickets are unable to attend the course and may request a refund.  For these reasons, we ask you to realize that SMUC will act in good faith to notify you ASAP if SMUC no longer has a budget sufficient to pay you the fees agreed above.  If SMUC cancels on you (requests that you not attend for budgetary or other reasons) via email before 9am, MST, 21 calendar days before the first day of the course, SMUC will pay you no penalty for cancelling on you.
